Devon Allman: Sound Matters to Artists
On the road as The Devon Allman Project in 2018, Devon Allman and Duane Betts — sons of The Allman Brothers Band founding members Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts — brought together a number of guests in San Francisco for an “Allman Family Revival.” In this video, the band’s lead singers and guitarists Devon Allman and Duane Betts, plus FOH Engineer Nathan Gilberg, describe their impressions of Meyer Sound’s MJF‑208 compact stage monitors and the powerful impact and clarity that these wedges have brought to their touring sound for most of 2018. Drawing from their 2018 success and their musical heritage, the pair is touring with a new record in 2019 as “The Allman Betts Band.” While the original Allman Brothers Band marks its 50th anniversary in 2019, hear why sound matters to the next-gen ABB.
