- The 2100-LFC loudspeaker data was found to differ slightly from production units. For high-precision projects that include 2100-LFC, we suggest downloading the updated 2100-LFC data (HELP > CHECK FOR UPDATES…) and revisiting the level and delay times of 2100-LFC in the project.

Known Issues
- When 2D geometry is altered with the Trim modifier, EDIT > UNDO is not working correctly
- After adding a Multi-Level Visual Aid (MLVA) with a Reference Position other than 0, 0, 0, changing the Distance, Elevation, or Width of any point and clicking APPLY will revert one or all the Reference Position values to zero. Workaround: update the Reference Position values once the P1, P2… values are updated, and click APPLY.
- FILE > CLOSE PROJECT after Mirroring grouped Loudspeaker Systems causes the application to not respond
- When copying and pasting grouped entities from one Project to another, when the entities are ungrouped in the destination Project and the Project is saved, then re-opened, errors occur.
- When opening a Project saved in previous versions, Mirrored geometry set for Prediction may display the pressure plot erroneously. Workaround, 1) alter the X, Y, Z coordinates of the mirrored geometry and restore them, prediction works as expected, 2) toggle the Geometry’s Prediction selection, prediction works as expected.
- After using the TRIM Modifier on two Geometries, EDIT > UNDO does not work correctly
- When SELECT SNAPPING TOOL is selected/deselected from the contextual menu, the menu does not close as expected – click away from the menu to close it
- Keyboard shortcuts to switch between main window tabs is not working, Ctrl/CMD + 1, 2, 3, 4
- After selecting Top View 2 and orbiting the view (space bar), the grid plane may not be completely displayed

Known Issues
- Connecting multiple GALAXY processors to MAPP 3D has a low chance of leading to an application crash when the connection is established, save the GALAXY Project before connecting to MAPP 3D
- When a Loudspeaker System with an active Section Plane is deleted, the Section Plane is not automatically deleted, but can be deleted like any other geometry
- When loading a MAPP 3D Project that includes an imported Sketchup file, a false warning may appear (Could Not Load Model), click “OK” to continue and the model is loaded correctly
- A warning may appear indicating that a name already exists after a name is updated, deeper fix in development
- Using the Revert button at the bottom of the Insert Loudspeaker dialog when Gradient Flown Subwoofer Array or Point Source Array System are selected may lead to unexpected behavior or a crash
- When a Multilevel Visual Aid (MLVA) is duplicated (Edit > Duplicate), the new MLVA will be located at the same coordinates as the original
- For Individual Loudspeakers, when the selected processor name is changed the loudspeaker will be unassigned, but the Output Channel column will display a selection
- The loudspeaker remains unassigned until an Output Channel selection is made, even when if a processor name is displayed
- When a processor is changed for an Individual Loudspeaker, changing to another Individual Loudspeaker and then back will update the status
- If the loudspeaker is unassigned, the cell will display “Select Channel,” otherwise the assigned channel will then be shown.
- Make sure to assign an Output Channel after any Processor changes and be on the lookout if one Individual Loudspeaker is not predicting as expected

Known Issues
- When LMBC is applied and Elements Per Output selected is “2” and the selected Element Location is not set to “1”, the filters applied will be shifted and not match Compass

- Rigging Safety Analysis has been added to MAPP 3D to provide more detailed information regarding the calculations for LEO, LYON, LEOPARD, and LINA Flown Loudspeaker Systems. With a given array configuration, you can choose an analysis type that indicates whether or not the desired array configuration will be OK to hang. When you insert a Flown Loudspeaker System, the rigging Factor Of Safety feature is enabled and analyzes the configuration as you add or subtract elements and change array angles. If the configuration exceeds the mechanical load limits, a warning is displayed in the edit loudspeaker system properties. Rated load capacities of the Meyer Sound rigging assembly for different splay angle settings are based on testing performed by an independent testing agency, and on safety limit analysis performed by an independent structural engineering firm. The ratings apply to the Meyer Sound rigging only. You are responsible for selecting the safety factor required by local law for your installation, and for determining the adequacy of supporting structure above the hook. PERMANENT INSTALLATIONS MUST BE CERTIFIED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR WIND AND SEISMIC LOADING.

New Features
- 3D Environment and Workflow: MAPP 3D introduces an improved workflow from its predecessor. Users can create full system layouts, connect and sync to virtual or physical GALAXY devices, use either MAPP 3D or Compass to make changes to output processing allowing for real time verification of the introduced changes. Predictions and system tuning can now be tied together in the same workflow.
- M-Noise SPL Data: M-Noise is a new test signal that promotes standardized measurement of a loudspeaker system’s maximum linear output. It is a mathematically derived test signal that effectively emulates the dynamic characteristics of music. In any application requiring reproduction of musical content, M-Noise enables a far more accurate measurement of a loudspeaker system’s linear peak SPL than any other existing method. Because a single input type cannot reveal all the headroom capabilities of a loudspeaker on its own, MAPP 3D displays information on available headroom using different input sources. A simple SPL number on a datasheet does not reflect the essential characteristic of highly linear systems: that they do not change their sound when the level is increased. The Headroom Tab in the MAPP 3D Measurement window shows M-Noise and B-Noise for Meyer Sound Products. With the ability to store and recall traces, you can view combined systems with this data, and verify that system designs have sufficient headroom.
- Gradient Subwoofer Array Configuration Tool: 1100-LFC, 900-LFC, 750-LFC: Meyer Sound’s LF Series products can each be configured in directional arrays to reduce SPL behind the loudspeakers. Each loudspeaker’s linearity ensures that directional patterns behave accurately, even at very high levels. Directional arrays are achieved by placing a mix of low frequency units coplanar to each other (in either a ground stacked or flown array) with some units facing the opposite direction. The output of the reversed loudspeakers cancels the output of the other loudspeakers that is normally present behind the units, while also increasing SPL directed forward. Meyer Sound has provided a tool within MAPP 3D to optimally configure gradient subwoofer arrays. Once inserted into the sound field, they can remain a gradient subwoofer array object that automatically assigns the correct delay time for the second processor channel. To override any of these automated settings, the object can be converted to a flown loudspeaker system. Gradient Subwoofer Arrays are saved in the MAPP Project File.
- Multi-Level Auto-Splay for Flown Loudspeaker Systems: The Auto-Splay feature provides even distance coverage splay angles for flown loudspeaker systems. Select Auto-Splay from the tools menu, select the loudspeaker system you want to Auto-Splay, assign elements to each prediction plane to estimate the splay angles for the system as a starting point. The splay angles can be fine-tuned from the flown loudspeaker system settings window or from Express Settings when the array is selected. Auto-Splaying multiple arrays can be achieved by selecting a different array and repeating the process all over again. To assist in system design using the Auto-Splay window the user can reposition the array and perform predictions from the Auto-Splay window. The Auto-Splay function now includes the ability to calculate splay angels across multiple Prediction Planes for a single array. In order to produce the best results, users can take advantage of newly adjustable Aiming Factor, Smallest Splay Limit and Largest Splay Limit parameters for each Prediction Plane. To assist with choosing the Assigned Elements per Prediction Plane, an Elements Linear Coverage value is provided per plane that shows the approximate distance between center lines after Auto-Splay has been applied.
- Measurement View: In the Measurement View, all four IFFT charts are displayed by default. Live traces can be stored and recalled to the four individual memory slots in both Headroom and Frequency & IFFT Response (SIM) modes. Gain offsets are available for Processor, Room and Result. Using the Auto-Set Delay button inserts delay on the source signal so the relative time between the source signal and the measured signal is zero. The memory trace plots display in different colors along with the live trace in all available measurement modes. The traces can be displayed or hidden on demand. Traces are stored in the MAPP Project File. Auto-Set propagation delay compensation values are microphone specific and are retained when switching between microphones.
