CompassControl Software

Compass

Easy to Use

Compass is a comprehensive and intuitive way to control all the features and power offered by Galileo GALAXY and CAL.

Remote Monitoring System

Compass software can also integrate with RMServer to monitor the health and status of any twisted pair connected loudspeaker or Intelligent D.C Power Supply equipped with an RMS module. RMS projects store system-wide loudspeaker configurations including page layouts and viewing options for icon, meter, and text.

Complete System Control

Compass provides a graphical user interface that displays detailed information and controls all device settings including GALAXY Control Pages, Parametric and U-Shaping EQ, AVB Network Settings, Delay Integration, High and Low Pass Filters, CAL Beam Control, and RMS.

Compass 3.11.0 for Galileo, Callisto, and CAL
Release Notes

Compass 3.11.0 supports the following operating systems:

  • OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) and OS X 10.12 (Sierra)
  • Windows 8.1 Professional and Windows 10

Compass 3.11.0 software requires the following firmware versions:

  • Galileo and Callisto v3.11.0
  • RMServer v2.0.1
  • CAL v1.2.4
  • AVDECC Proxy v1.0.6 (For CAL Only)

Firmware NOT Supported in Compass Version 3.11.0:

  • RMServer v1.7.2 and all previous versions
  • CAL v1.2.2 and all previous versions
  • GALAXY Firmware v1.0.3

Enhancements

  • RMServer firmware has been updated to no longer rely on AVDECC Proxy or third party programs. NOTE: You cannot control RMServer on a single client with both active wireless and wired connection adapters simultaneously. You must choose one or the other prior to operation. You cannot connect using one method and then switch to another during operation.
  • CAL Firmware has been updated with bug fixes and stability improvements.

Bug Fix

  1. Fixed a bug where some speakers icon view driver color is black.

Known Issues

  • Users can encounter a rare condition where a loudspeaker can report NOT IN INVENTORY instead of UNKNOWN after the identity of that loudspeaker is erased. A NOT IN INVENTORY status disables all right click menu options for a selected loudspeaker. This blocks the user from initializing that loudspeaker’s identity. If this condition occurs, quit and re-launch Compass and the loudspeaker should report the correct UNKNOWN status. This will enable all appropriate command options under the right-click menu.
