PANTHERThe Northwest String Summit (NWSS) is a four-day festival featuring premier bluegrass, acoustic, folk, and Americana performances at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon. The lineup for this year’s music festival included Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Umphrey’s McGee. This year, the festival was powered by a Meyer Sound PANTHER main PA system supplied by Point Source Audio.
FOH engineer Peter Costello, who mixed for Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD) at NWSS, was excited to mix on the system for a second time after having recently mixed with PANTHER at the Peach Festival in Scranton, PA. “PANTHER’s ability to accurately amplify exactly what the musicians play on stage in the most genuine manner continues to impress me. Its honesty and clarity make mixing on it a joy.”
