The LEOPARD linear sound reinforcement system is the third member of Meyer Sound’s LEO Family to win a Readers’ Choice Award, chosen by readers of ProSoundWeb and Live Sound International. Boasting tremendous power-to-size ratio with ultra-low distortion, LEOPARD joins its big brothers LEO and LYON, which won the same accolades in 2014 and 2015, respectively. LEOPARD’s companion 900‑LFC low-frequency control element is also a winner in the subwoofer category.
Also recognized is the steerable CAL column array loudspeaker, which has won three years in a row in the Column and Line Source Loudspeakers category.
A fourth Meyer Sound award was earned by the MJF‑210 in the stage monitor category. The MJF-210 is the lightest stage monitor in the company product line, measuring less than 14 inches high and weighing 67 pounds.
Since its debut in 2015, LEOPARD has now won five industry awards, including a Commercial Integrator BEST Award, a Sound & Video Contractor Innovative Product Award, a Worship Facilities New Product Award, and a Pro Audio Group Best of Show Award at InfoComm 2015. In addition to permanent installations at theatres and concert venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center, close to 40 rental companies are using LEOPARD for a wide rage of applications around the world, including major concert tours, festivals, and musical theatre.
