Meyer Sound continues its longstanding support of USITT with an extensive virtual booth at “USITT21 — Virtually Anywhere,” the organization’s 61st annual conference and stage expo. The event is accessible online from March 8–12, with free access to the Virtual Expo (March 10–12), available courtesy of Meyer Sound.

The Meyer Sound virtual booth will feature informative interactive displays and videos spanning five products and technologies. A particular focus will be on Meyer Sound’s two newest software and loudspeaker solutions, Spacemap Go, a breakthrough software tool for flexible, intuitive and cost-effective spatial sound design and live mixing, and the ULTRA‑X20 compact point source loudspeaker.

Several of Meyer Sound’s senior technical personnel will be available for questions and conversations at the booth, including Director of System Optimization Bob McCarthy, Digital Products Solutions Architect Richard Bugg and Technical Support Specialist Josh Dorn-Fehrmann. Check in at the booth at the opening of the expo for specific booth host days and times.

Underscoring its commitment to industry education, Meyer Sound is supporting a roundtable discussion entitled “Designing Flexible Sound Systems for Theater Spaces” featuring six leading sound designers and theatrical AV system consultants. The roundtable is scheduled for Tuesday, March 9 at 11:00 AM EST/8:00 AM PST.

“Education is built into the DNA of Meyer Sound and sound for theatre has been a mainstay for the company since John Meyer made the first UPA for Abe Jacob,” says Richard Bugg. “So, it’s natural that USITT has always been important to Meyer Sound. It’s a great way to keep in touch with the institutions that are training the next generation of theatre sound professionals, and we always look forward to sharing our excitement about new technologies that extend the creative possibilities in sound design.”

Anyone wishing to attend the virtual expo may do so at no charge using the code MSLVIP21. Registration for the full program is available at https://www.usitt.org/registration.
