Meyer Sound and Major Tom win Pro Sound Award for Ed Sheeran Tour

At the 2015 Pro Sound Awards in London, Meyer Sound and UK-based rental company Major Tom recently won the Best Tour/Production Sound award for Ed Sheeran’s “X Tour.”

Featuring a LEO linear large-scale sound reinforcement system provided by Major Tom, the world tour has spanned 17 months and almost 180 shows, including three sold-out, 90,000-capacity dates at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The flagship member of the LEO Family, LEO has also won a Parnelli Award for Indispensable Audio Technology, a PAR Excellence Award for best Line Array System, and a ProSoundWeb Readers’ Choice Award. More than 25 rental companies are using the system for large-scale events around the world.

Also winning a Pro Sound Award in the Best Broadcast Facility category was London’s Warner Bros. De Lane Lea, which features Dolby-certified Meyer Sound cinema systems installed in three of its mixing stages.
