Over the past few years, NAMM has become one of the most important trade shows for major segments of our market. By opening a dedicated hall for audio, collaborating with the Audio Engineering Society on education programs, and offering immediate access to the thriving Southern California entertainment business, NAMM has become a formidable industry event.”

Recognizing the importance of the annual event to audio professionals, Meyer Sound has booked its largest-ever exhibit space for the 2020 NAMM Show, scheduled for the Anaheim Convention Center from January 16th to 19th. The floor booth (17219) fronts an adjacent, spacious demo room (17218) that will be fully stocked with the latest additions to Meyer Sound’s definitive line of self-powered loudspeakers. The demo room, in turn, opens directly onto an outdoor terrace which will provide fresh, open-air ambience for the conviviality of the Sonic Lounge.
The booth will feature the TEC Award-nominated ULTRA‑X40 point source loudspeaker displayed in multiple rigging and array configurations, demonstrating its extraordinary versatility across a broad spectrum of main and fill applications.
A daily schedule of loudspeaker demos will provide ample opportunities for NAMM visitors to audition the newest Meyer Sound technologies, including the ULTRA-X40, the versatile LINA compact line array loudspeaker, and LINA’s ideal companion, the 750‑LFC low-frequency control element. After the demo, guests will be invited to a hands-on experience with a 2.1 system of Amie precision studio monitors and the Amie‑Sub compact cinema subwoofer, as well as MJF‑208 and MJF‑210 high-power stage monitors.
Visitors will also be welcomed to the Sonic Lounge for relaxation, refreshments, informative conversations with the Meyer Sound team, and an opportunity to enter the drawing for a pair of Amie monitors.
“Over the past few years, NAMM has become one of the most important trade shows for major segments of our market,” notes Meyer Sound Senior Vice President of Marketing John McMahon. “By opening a dedicated hall for audio, collaborating with the Audio Engineering Society on education programs, and offering immediate access to the thriving Southern California entertainment business, NAMM has become a formidable industry event. NAMM is also well-timed as it builds momentum for our major European show, ISE, which normally follows a few weeks later.”
The NAMM Show also provides the backdrop for two concurrently scheduled industry recognition events, the TEC Awards and the Parnelli Awards, the latter ceremony also recognizing Indispensable Technologies. The Meyer Sound ULTRA-X40 loudspeaker has been nominated for both a TEC Award (Outstanding Technical Achievement in Sound Reinforcement Loudspeakers) and for an Indispensable Technology Award in the Audio category.
Several individuals and companies closely associated with Meyer Sound are nominees for Parnelli Awards, including Solotech for Sound Company of the Year, Marc Depratto for Monitor Mixer of the Year, and Jonathan Trudeau for Audio System Tech of the Year, all three for the Michael Bublé Tour; and “Big Mick” Hughes (Metallica) for FOH Engineer of the Year. Nominated for Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year are Kian Concert Sound and Blackhawk Audio.
