The night was a packed, memorable experience featuring a set from DJ Jean, who was flown in from Beirut for the occasion.
“I give a lot of attention to detail, and I wanted to create the trendiest nightspot in Alexandria,” says Club 35 Manager David Boulouys. “That meant that all the elements had to be top-notch, and that is why I chose Meyer Sound.”
Located at the five-star Maritim Jolie Ville Hotel in Alexandria, Egypt, Club 35 is the city’s first exclusive nightspot and the first franchise to branch out from Cairo’s trendy 35 Restaurant & Lounge Bar (aka Club 35 Cairo).
Cairo-based events company Modern Touch Entertainment—one of Egypt’s top entertainment companies and the country’s exclusive distributor of Meyer Sound since 1999—supplied the sound and lighting equipment at Club 35.
“I wanted to have a nice distributed system that would deliver enough power without compromising clarity,” explains Bassem Fahmy, director of technical support. “Everyone was very happy with the system,” he says. “We received a lot of positive feedback.”
Fahmy designed the sound system at Club 35 with four Meyer Sound UPA-1P loudspeakers, six UPJunior VariO loudspeakers, four USW-1P subwoofers, four UP-4XP loudspeakers, and a Galileo loudspeaker management system with a Galileo 408 processor.
Modern Touch Entertainment has completed a number of other prestigious installations using Meyer Sound equipment, including the sound and light show for the Edfu and Philae temples, Buddha-Bar, and Little Buddha Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, as well as the new Hard Rock Café in Sharm El Sheikh to be open in July 2012.
