CAL, ConstellationThe 2014 East Bay Innovation Awards has selected Meyer Sound as one of two finalists in the category of Engineering and Design. From a total of 108 nominees, 16 finalists have been chosen among eight different categories. The winners will be announced in Oakland on February 13, 2014, the day of Meyer Sound’s 35th anniversary.
The East Bay Innovation Awards were founded by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance to celebrate and recognize businesses that have made significant contributions to the innovative culture and legacy of the San Francisco East Bay.
Headquartered in Berkeley, Meyer Sound has called the East Bay home since it was founded in 1979. Today, more than 200 employees work at the company’s Berkeley campus. Many of the first installations of the company’s products can be found on the East Bay, including the Constellation acoustic system at Zellerbach Hall, the CAL column array loudspeaker installation at California Memorial Stadium, and many more.
