Milan AVB

Hi!

What is the right channel stream that can work with Galaxy on Spacemap Go?

I couldn't find any information on the subject beside an info that on the last version of compass it will only work with MILAN certified.

What I want to do is:

1 Galaxy 816 (Latest firmware)

8 Analog inputs

10 AVB inputs

16 Analog outputs to speakers (from Galaxy816)

  1. Is is ok to do more than 16 inputs to a spacemap with one galaxy in the system? From my understading - up to 32 inputs, also from 1 galaxy.
  2. What kind of AVB product will work? For example - will MOTU M64 work? RME MADI-AVB Convertor?

Thank you!

Hello Nadav,

Thank you for using Spacemap Go! Coming to your questions:

  1. You are correct in assuming that, by using AVB inputs, you can connect up to 32 channels on a single GALAXY; that will get you to the maximum number of Channels in Spacemap Go. The Spacemap Go wizard will guide you in configuring a combination of analog and AVB inputs, such as the one you mention.
  2. GALAXY and Spacemap Go will work with any Milan AVB certified device and, for switches, with Avnu-certified AVB switches (see https://avnu.org/certified-product-registry/ for an updated list of gear). Non-Milan certified products might work, but there is no guarantee that they will or that there will not be unexpected behavior.
