Importing Cuestation Spacemap

Hello!

Is it possible to import already made Cuestation Spacemap files into Spacemap Go? It would make creating Spacemaps easier and the transition from the one format to another easier. If not, is it something that is on the roadmap for future releases?

Cheers!

Dennis

@soundarchitect-- yes, this is supported.

  1. Connect to your D-Mitri or Virtual D-Mitri system with CueStation
  2. Connect Spacemap Go to your GALAXY or Virtual-GALAXY system with Spacemap Go.
  3. With CueStation, open a project that includes a Spacemap that you want to import into Spacemap Go, or create a new Spacemap in CueStation.
  4. In CueStation, "Save Project As..." and select "Filter Project" at the bottom of the "Save Project" window.
  5. Select "Unselect all items in Project" at the bottom of the "Save Project" window.
  6. Select "Spacemaps" from project item types
  7. Select the Spacemap(s) that you want to export
  8. In the Filename field, type a new name, such as "test" and select a destination folder on the Mac.
  9. Press "Save"
  10. In the MacOS Finder, you will see the filename saved as "test.dmitriProject"
  11. In the Finder, change the name of the file to "test.spacemaps"
Next, you need to move the file from your Mac to your iPad. The easiest way to do this is to use AirDrop.  Open a new Finder window and select AirDrop. Drag the file from your Finder Window into this AirDrop window. When you do this, the file will be transmitted to the iPad and Spacemap Go will automatically import the Spacemaps to the connected system.  You will see progress indicators during the import, and a confirmation modal when complete.
Finally, check the import in the Create view to confirm the import.
Let us know how it goes!
