M3D Line Array Loudspeaker : Self-Powered Advantage
The M3D incorporates a newly designed, four-channel, class AB/H power amplifier and control circuitry within the cabinet. Setup is simple and quick: just supply power distribution to the array and connect a line-level signal. Touring companies can flexibly configure line arrays of various sizes to suit different venues without having to reconfigure amplifier racks or bring in unneeded equipment. In fixed installations, theres no requirement to pull long runs of heavy-gauge loudspeaker cable, nor to wire and troubleshoot a room full of amplifiers and speaker processors.
The M3D amplifier delivers a prodigious 4960 watts total burst power. It incorporates Meyer Sounds Intelligent AC power supply, which automatically adjusts for any line voltage worldwide and provides both soft turn-on and transient protection. TruPower limiting protects the M3D drivers from being overdriven, and keeps long-term power compression to less than 1 dB (versus 3-6 dB for competing systems). Meyers exclusive RMS Remote Monitoring System interface is also optionally available, permitting engineers to monitor and troubleshoot an entire M3D system from a Windows® laptop computer. Finally, Meyer Sound amplifiers are famous for their longevity and reliability. But should it become necessary, the M3D electronics are a snap to service: all you need is a Phillips screwdriver and a spare electronics module.
