Meyer Sound Showcases Self-Powered UPQ-1P and MM-4XP at PALME Asia in Singapore

This tradition continues when Meyer Sound (Stand D09) comes to PALME Asia with its award-winning professional audio products – designed and built in California – that are ideally suited to the expanding Asian AV market.

UPQ-1P
Wide Coverage Loudspeaker

The latest addition to the legendary UltraSeries, the self-powered UPQ-1P wide coverage loudspeaker will be featured. This versatile, high-power loudspeaker incorporates a 15-inch neodymium magnet low frequency driver and a four-inch diaphragm compression driver coupled to an 80-degree by 50-degree constant directivity horn with a gradual coverage rolloff. The UPQ-1P's peak output of 136 dB and flexible rigging options facilitate permanent theater and nightclub installations, as well as portable AV applications. The UPQ-1P and UPA-1P loudspeakers, in addition to the UPJ-1P and UPJunior VariO loudspeakers, demonstrate the exceptional flexibility that the UltraSeries offers to system designers.

Astonishingly powerful for its size is the self-powered MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker. Perfect for applications that require persuasive sound in an extremely low-profile package, the MM-4XP has a faceplate measuring a mere four square inches yet delivers a peak SPL of 113 dB with extremely low distortion. Custom color versions of the product are available and examples will be shown on the booth.

The MILO family of line array loudspeakers including the MILO, MICA, and M'elodie will be on display. With all three sharing the same sonic signature, the MILO family offers scalable solutions for applications ranging from corporate AV and tours to fixed installations of any sound design concepts.

Audio Show Control System

With theatres, performing arts centers, and themed spectacles all booming in the Asian market, Meyer Sound's Matrix3 audio show control system will be another focus of attention at the show. Matrix3 seamlessly integrates powerful digital processing and Wild Tracks hard disk playback with extraordinarily flexible mixing, matrixing, and multichannel surround panning capabilities. Visitors can also attend hands-on demonstrations of the powerful Galileo loudspeaker management system with Compass control software.

In recent years, Meyer Sound systems have found popularity in Singapore and adjacent countries, including Singapore City's magnificent Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and Malaysia's Platinum Disco nightclub. Meyer Sound products are also installed in Jakarta Convention Center and in one of the world's largest "4D" immersive multimedia theatres at Jaya Ancol Resort.
