Chart-Topping Casting Crowns Brings Christian Rock Across US with Meyer Sound MILO and Blackhawk Audio
Founded by Daytona Beach youth pastor Mark Hall in 1999, Casting Crowns has grown to become one of Christian rock's biggest success stories. The Grammy and Dove Award-winning band is presently in the midst of its largest tour to date, playing to nearly half a million fans in 84 cities in the US and Europe in support of its current album, The Altar and the Door.
Nashville-based Blackhawk Audio is providing the tour with a powerful sound system comprising two main arrays of 12 MILO and two MILO 120 line array loudspeakers per side. Four MICA line array loudspeakers cover front fill, with ten 700-HP subwoofers handling low end. A Galileo loudspeaker management system takes care of system drive and processing.
"I've used a lot of different Meyer Sound products over the years, and have always been really pleased with the results," reports Carter Hassebroek, the FOH engineer of Casting Crowns. "Meyer Sound systems deliver a consistently good sound quality across a wide range of venues. When I walk into a room and see a Meyer Sound system, I know it's going to be a good day."
