Work as a member of a team assembling professional quality speakers. Ability to perform a variety of tasks at multiple work centers depending on the production and staffing needs at the time; primarily responsible for a workstation working with acetone and adhesives. Most work centers require standing while working. This is a temporary position; candidates will be referred to a temporary agency.
Identify proper components needed, place components in correct location by following manufacturing assembly instructions using small power tools or hand tools. Fill cabinets with foam or other materials. Attach grills and exterior handles onto cabinets. Visual inspection of product for quality and package speakers with brochures for shipment. Perform material handling and inventory control transaction processing as required.
|Must be familiar with the use of basic hand tools, small power tools, component identification, lead forming and soldering as required in the assigned work center.|
Must be willing to work with acetone and adhesives.
Must be versed in general workmanship standards and have the ability to adapt to the unique nature of Meyer Sound requirements.
Must read drawings and manufacturing assembly instructions and apply the documented process to the work at hand.
Must be flexible about work assignments and willing to perform assembly operations in multiple work centers.
Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly throughout the day
Occasional overtime will be required.
Must pass a general and criminal background check.
