InfoComm has recognized Meyer Sound as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Program Provider. Offered by the company's worldwide education program, the two-day seminar on "Fundamentals of System Design, Implementation and Optimization" is now a CTS-accredited curriculum. Participants completing the seminar can earn six renewal units (RUs) toward the program's requirements for maintaining certified status as CTS general, CTS-D (design), or CTS-I (installation).

The "Fundamentals of System Design, Implementation and Optimization" seminar encompasses all aspects of sound system design and application, including theory and practice of line arrays, tools for optimization, system equalization and delay, use of acoustical prediction software, digital loudspeaker management systems, and methods for controlling low frequency directivity.

The next scheduled session for the seminar is July 18 – 19, 2011 in Nashville, Tenn. The instructor will be Steve Bush.

Serving the audio community for more than two decades, the comprehensive science-based education program from Meyer Sound offers close to 20 seminars at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels. Recently, Meyer Sound has extended its education efforts through a series of webinars that provide comprehensive training in the use of the Galileo loudspeaker management system and the MAPP Online Pro acoustical prediction program. The full schedule of offerings is available at here.

AV industry professionals who have completed the requirements for initial CTS certification must earn a total of 30 RUs over a three-year period in order to maintain their status. Programs eligible to grant RUs are approved by the InfoComm Certification Committee. More information is available here.
